Information collected by ABMDR:
Establishing and managing a registry of bone marrow donors require that ABMDR collect some personal information from you. ABMDR will request information about your name, date of birth and your medical history. This information, along with your personal tissue type, is entered into a database that constitutes the ABMDR Registry, and is used solely by ABMDR for the purpose of identifying potential bone marrow stem cell donor matches for patients in need. ABMDR will also request name, address, telephone number and email information from you so that it can re-contact you when you are identified as a potential match for a patient. Any such personal information provided by you to ABMDR is kept secure and strictly confidential.
Moreover, in light of fundraising efforts, ABMDR will collect bank or credit card information from you, and will use email and/or mailing addresses to notify you of its upcoming events, send you its annual newsletter, and/or an occasional press release.
