Fredrick was an ABMDR donor recruited a few years ago in Tehran, Iran. Imagine his surprise when he was told that he was the only match in the world able to save the life of a patient in Belgium waiting for a transplant. Fredrick was eager to help. He came to Armenia where his stem cells were harvested, analyzed and packed at ABMDR’s harvesting center. They were then handed over to the specialized courier sent from the transplant center in Belgium. While the courier was taking hold of the cells, Fredrick joined his wife and children for tea and cookies. He spent the following few days sightseeing in Armenia, and flew back to Iran. “It’s been an honor to help save somebody’s life through this procedure. My heartfelt thanks to ABMDR, and best wishes for health and a long life for the patient in Belgium” he said.
